Nilai-Nilai Moderasi Beragama Dalam Budaya Mapalus

Abstract

Humans as social creatures mean that humans are part of and cannot be separated from social life. Working together in community groups cannot be separated from cultural roots, because local wisdom teaches how humans help each other in carrying out a responsibility. Mapalus is a concept of relation introduced by the ancestors of the Minahasa people which can be an alternative approach in Religious Moderation. Religion is different from religion, religion emphasizes religious teachings, while religion is how humans apply religious teachings. In the context of a pluralistic Indonesia, the religious way is what brings together religious people in social spaces. Encounters in social space in social life will be interconnected with each other. So far, serious efforts have been made to build the foundation of religious moderation from the scriptures of religions. This study aims to examine the Values of Religious Moderation in Mapalus Culture. Mapalus culture which is Minahasa's local wisdom can contribute to Religious Moderation. The research method used is the qualitative description with literature or literature techniques. The results of the study are expected to describe the values of religious moderation in Mapalus culture, thus strengthening social ties in society.
